Has written extensively on IBM i development & modernisation, including the IBM Redbooks, IBM Power Modernisation & Modernising IBM i Applications, the IBM i developer certification & the lastest IBM developer course. An IBM Champion for 6 years. Royal Navy Veteran.

Nick Youens

With well over 25 years IT experience, Nick grew up with the AS400s & into the IBM Power servers. Extensive developer experience, from RPG through to the latest programming languages. Currently an AI Engineering Manager at Microsoft.

Marius le Roux

Marius le Roux is an IBM Champion and founder of MLR Consulting who bridges legacy infrastructure and modern enterprise integration. From hands-on AS/400 operations to co-authoring IBM Redbooks, he specialises in System Archaeology, helping organisations document and modernise complex RPGLE environments. Marius advocates for treating the IBM i as a central component of the modern tech stack rather than an isolated silo.

Terry Bartlett

Over 47 years experience in IT, nearly all of it on IBM from mainframe with cobol to AS/400 to IBM i. Started as a developer then added administration, monitoring, performance and security. Using modern code like free form RPG, tools such as SQL and VSCode and lots of Open Source.
